A hair-brained idea

Sorry if these pictures are too dark and not very good. I wanted to do Sadie's hair fancy for church last week so I took a curling iron to it and the picture on the bottom is what turned out. It looked really cute and made her seem older. I only burned her two times but I'll claim it was her fault for not holding still. The other hairstyle I did last night and it turned out really cute as well. Doesn't she have the cutest face?

Acorn

Last weekend Andy's parents took Sadie overnight. That gave me a chance to try my hand at painting my house. I have always wanted colored walls, so I thought I would try one wall in my living room. I chose the color Acorn.

It definitely was harder than I thought it would be. Getting the right amount of paint on the roller was hard and here I am trying to smooth out some roller marks.

After about 3 hours of painting I finally get a rest. And a soda which hits the spot most days!!

I haven't taken a final finished picture yet, so keep looking for that one!

Fancy Sadie

Sadie is a huge fan of dressing up and getting fancy. If any of you have daughters with the same passion the Fancy Nancy books are a must.

Mommy 1 & 2

It had been awhile since Sadie and I had seen Bri and Brenna. As you can tell it was a very happy (and fancy) reunion. After Bri got her hair cut much confusion was had as to who's mommy we really were. It was funny to watch Sadie think Bri was me and the look on her face when it finally registered who she was talking too.

Glow Power

For the fourth of July my mom bought like 5000 glow sticks. Sadie is wearing 4999 of them around her neck.

Braids

I saw an example of this hairdo online and thought I would give it a try. I had no idea it would take me over an hour to complete. Sadie was really good and watched cartoons the whole time and sat very still. I have kept it in this hairstyle for four days now to make it worth my time!!

Mountain Man

It is part of the culture out there for the men to have facial hair. So hopefully you can tell by this picture how much respect Andy is getting!! Nice beard babe!!

Shrimp

I never considered Andy short, but next to Shawn Bradley I'm sure everyone is. He went to Afghanistan and Andy was able to meet him.

Our Life, right now

Right now I am currently a stay at home mom. I will start teaching again in the fall. Sadie is attending a summer preschool and next week she will start Ballet lessons. For the most part we hang out at home and play outside with our neighbors. And mostly try not to drive each other crazy. Andy is currently deployed in Afghanistan. He has been gone since February and will be back next February. We sure do miss him and can't wait for the time to pass by quickly.
This is Andy in Afghanistan. He is stationed at Bagram Air Field.
